The energy-using habits of British households have been revealed in a new report partly written by the Energy Saving Trust. It highlights the actual day-to-day use of electricity. It reveals some surprising facts – for example we spend more on keeping our crockery, glasses and cutlery clean than we do on our clothes. This is because anyone with a dishwasher uses on average nearly twice as much electricity for this as they do for their washing machine.
HeatingSave’s House & Home system is approved by the Energy Saving Trust. It is a self learning computerised management system that can reduce your heating bills by 20% to 30% or more by better and more efficiently running your heating. At its heart is a heat-loss algorithm that self-learns the heating characteristics of each heating zone within your home. From this, HeatingSave can work out how to run your heating more efficiently to cut your fuel bills. You can view current energy usage and when appliances are turned on/off.
