What is building energy management (BEMS)?Simply put, a building energy management system or BEMS for short is a computerised system that watches over and controls you home or business heating system at a micro level. It continuously analyses and adjusts your rooms to keep them at a constant temperature (of your choosing) all whilst using as little fuel as possible. What are solar evacuated tubes?Evacuated tubes or solar thermal collectors are designed to collect heat by absorbing sunlight and using this energy to heat your hot water. Which in turn can be used to assist your heating system or even to run a nice hot bath. They are even designed to work on cloudy days! |

What are photovoltaic solar panels?Photovoltaic solar commonly referred to as solar panels or sometimes know as solar cells are designed to convert solar radiation (sunlight) into direct current electricity. What is an energy monitor?An energy monitor is a small device that allows you view your current energy usage quickly and hassle free. Using attractive graphics your usage is shown via colourful graphs, charts and text giving you real time costs and energy usage so you can keep on top of your costs with ease. |

What is a PIR occupancy sensor?Basically a PIR is a motion sensor. Using the Heatingsave system it will turn on the heating in a particular room when it senses movement. It will also turn off the heating when there is no movement. It’s a fantastic way of only heating the rooms that people are using which results in a more efficient home or business and saves money. |

What is a room temperature sensor?The HeatingSave room sensor is a small temperature sensor which replaces your existing room thermostat. It continuously measures the temperature in your home or business and sends information back to the Heatingsave building energy management system. Then the HeatingSave BEMS will makes small adjustments to keep your house or business comfortable without wasting fuel and money. |

What is a Temperature probe?A small temperature probe which is used for evaluating temperatures on the boiler flow and return pipes and the air temperature outside your home or business. Used as an alternative to the room temperature sensor. |
