The T3509-RC1 is a low cost remote control receiver with two channels that correspond to the two buttons on the T3509-RM1 hand-held controller. The buttons on the T3509-RM1 are labelled A and B but they can be simply setup on the HeatingSave software to mean anything and control anything, through the user “Actions” feature. The T3509-RC1 is 12 volts DC powered. This can be obtained from a T3520 or T3516 unit or a separate external power supply provided by the user.
The two relay outputs are mains rated and can turn on devices directly; either mains or low voltage powered. However, within a HeatingSave setting they are usually wired into the digital input ports of a T3520 or T3516. The user can then assign Action(s) to take place when the relay closes and even another Action(s) when it opens. The user can program or pair up to 20 T3509-RM1’s to each T3509-RC1.
Typical action(s) might be to open an entrance gate, turn on security lights or even turn on security lights and sound alarms; here using the T3509-RM1 as a panic alarm. The uses for the T3509-RC1 and T3509-RM1 are endless.
Where the T3509-RM1 is to be installed externally, it must be mounted within an external IP65 rated enclosure. This can be provided by the user or purchased separately from HeatingSave.
