Forest Holidays Improves Customer Satisfaction with HeatingSave

Forest Holidays provides fully building-regulated timber frame lodges in various UK forest locations for members of the public looking to have a relaxing time away. With 11 different destinations across the country, Forest Holidays is the perfect place for family and friends to enjoy a well-deserved break in a luxurious log cabin with a hot tub.

Across the 11 holiday destinations, Forest Holidays employs around 700 members of staff conducting a wide range of customer facing and non-customer facing roles. The Construction Manager, Dave Coster, spoke with the HeatingSave reporter to express his views, and share his experiences, with the HeatingSave building energy management system and the after sales support.

“It started when a couple of our project leaders were looking at ways to make the cabins more heating and energy efficient”, said Mr. Coster. He added, “We were looking for a system that would better manage the temperatures to make the cabins more efficient to run, so we chose HeatingSave as a system that will regulate the temperatures efficiently”.

Mr Coster described that this was the green light to install HeatingSave in many more cabins. “HeatingSave allows us to centrally regulate cabin temperatures in each room”.

Mr. Coster then told the HeatingSave reporter that “the system fulfils all of our needs and requirements” when asked whether Forest Holidays uses the system to its full potential. “Personally, I find the HeatingSave system very easy to use”.

HeatingSave provides its customers with an excellent after sales service, which was experienced first-hand by Mr. Coster. “Really, really, good! In the sense that they ring me if they spot an issue with a cabin. The helpdesk service is absolutely brilliant". He added, “There’s been times when we weren’t sure if we wired up the cabins correctly, and I’ve been on WhatsApp video calls with a member of your Helpdesk team showing me exactly what to do”.

When asked whether the HeatingSave Operations Department have ever had to repair or fix an issue with the system, Mr. Coster replied “There were a couple of teething issues initially but it was all resolved quickly before the site opened”.

The HeatingSave reporter then asked Mr Coster what he liked most about the HeatingSave BMS, “The ability to centrally control the cabin's temperature. It also prevents guests from tampering with the heating controls and leaving the heating at a high temperature when they leave". He described further, “When you have a 66-cabin site, which we have at Cheshire, and you have digital thermostats rather than your HeatingSave system, then it becomes expensive”, he added.

Would Dave Coster recommend HeatingSave to other companies and organisations? “Yes, I would!” he said “We have had no issues with HeatingSave. It has been absolutely brilliant”.

Summing up his experience in a few words Mr. Coster concluded, “Innovative, excellent support throughout and great after care”.
