Energy controller switches off heating when you are not in

Consumer watchdog, Consumer Focus, said it was worried that fuel prices would rise further in the wake of British Gas seeing its profits rise 98 per cent in the first half of this year. Audrey Gallacher, head of energy policy at the organisation, said: “We are concerned that energy firms may actually raise prices this winter. With only small price cuts for customers in the last two years, despite wholesale prices being half what they were at their peak and beginning to fall again, customers will rightly be outraged if this happens.”

If you want to beat the winter price hike, you do not have to spend lots of money on completely replacing the boiler, pipework and infrastructure with an energy efficient heating system. A new condensing boiler will save around 10% off your fuel bill, but it is far better to improve the efficiency of what you have with an energy controller. Here, you can save 30%-plus off the amount of fuel you use by adding a building energy management system, which boosts the efficiency of your heating system immensely by switching it off when you are not present.
