HeatingSave is the first Building Energy Management System added to the Government's Energy Technology List

March 2025 saw HeatingSave make history as the first Building Energy Management System (BEMS) to be added to the Government's list of approved energy saving technology products (the Energy Technology List), placing HeatingSave at the forefront of energy saving innovation.

Zara from ICF, praised HeatingSave's milestone:

"HeatingSave product is the first Building Energy Management System (BEMS) product added on the ETL in this sub-technology under Energy Monitoring. It is great to see that you trailblazing and setting the example for other manufacturers to follow suit."

Managed by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the ETL highlights technology that meet rigorous energy efficiency standards and Government Buying Standards (GBS). It also helps the Public Sector and businesses make informed decisions by providing free, impartial support and resources to easily compare the best products to cut energy costs and better manage energy use.

The list represents the top 25% of the most energy efficient technology available in the market, and features products that are independently verified to ensure they align with the latest Government policies and best practices in energy efficiency.

For HeatingSave's Building Energy Management System to be listed, it needed to comply with strict regulations and specifications, such as the class A functionality requirements from BS EN 15232-1: 2017.

The full requirements can be seen on the ETL website here.

HeatingSave helps businesses lower their operational costs and cut their energy usage by up to 50%. Its AI algorithms calculate the heat-loss coefficient of each room to optimise energy consumption, cut waste, support sustainability goals whilst reducing overall expenditure.

An example of its effectiveness is The Coplow Centre in Billesdon, Leicestershire. When HeatingSave's HVAC building control system was installed, they saved a whopping 51% on their gas bill.
