Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) can help UK manufacturers improve energy efficiency, cut bills

HeatingSave offers extensive monitoring options

Some of the UK’s largest manufacturing organizations have called for more government action on energy efficiency, a recent media news report has been able to suggest.

Manufacturers’ organisation EEF has recently released a report arguing that significant opportunities for cost-effective energy efficiency measures remain within the manufacturing industry, but are not being exploited through current policy mechanisms.

Using the conclusions of energy efficiency audit reports conducted under the Energy Savings Obligation Scheme (ESOS), the report suggests manufacturers could save a further 14 per cent from their annual electricity consumption through better management of electricity use and the installation of established energy saving technologies such as LED lightbulbs and high efficiency motors.

Elsewhere, the report reveals many UK manufacturers doubt the government has a robust energy strategy in the long term, with just one third of companies surveyed expressing belief the government has a long-term strategy for ensuring a secure energy supply. Less than four per cent of companies believe the UK’s energy infrastructure has improved over the last two years, while a quarter felt it had worsened.

HeatingSave Building Energy Management System (BEMS) can help manufacturers improve their overall energy efficiency

It’s already becoming quite clear that reducing energy costs is something every company should seriously consider, and implementing a reliable and affordable solution designed specifically to reduce the overall energy-related bills is one of the most sure-fire ways to attain these cuts.

HeatingSave optimizes any heating system’s overall functionality by taking into account a variety of factors, such as internal and external temperatures, occupancy, time of the year, the particular characteristics of installed boilers, etc. All of the data is used in order to determine the best heating patterns for the various heating zones within any building, using our proprietary heat-loss algorithm.

The end result is that users still get a very good level of comfort, while in the same time saving energy and money in the process.
