BRC is warning that a failure to act on business rates will add £400m of additional pressure
The Office for National Statistics showed food inflation has fallen to its lowest level in a year at 14.8%. Despite this, Retail Week have reported The British Retail Consortium whilst welcoming falling inflation, warned that £400 million of additional pressure could be added to the shoulders of business if the government does not put in place a rate freeze.
Inflation and rising energy bills seem an unprecedented combination of struggle that businesses are facing right now.
A solution to help reduce some of that pressure could be a company called HeatingSave, part of the Tensor plc, the technology group. HeatingSave can save businesses 25% to 50% off their energy bills, which could just tip the balance in survival this winter.
HeatingSave have invented a computerised AI heating management system that calculates the heat-loss coefficient of each room and uses this to avoid wasting energy. Approved by the Government on its Energy Technology list, HeatingSave helps to cut gas consumption by better managing the heating plant and equipment that businesses already own.
