Npower set to cut customer energy bills by 2.6% this week

Npower, one of the UK’s Big Six energy suppliers, will announce a 2.6% price drop off its customers average gas and electricity bill, a news report in the media suggests.

The decision comes as all of the major UK energy suppliers have passed on savings from cuts to green levies directly to their customers. Nevertheless, despite the price cut, the truth of the matter is that customers will still be worse off this year thanks to previous price hikes that, in Npower’s case, amounted to 10.4%.

Even if a 2.6% cut is still fairly good, customers who wish to actually save significantly more on their heating bills (20% to 30%+) should look no further than HeatingSave, a complete Building Energy Management System that optimises the heating system’s functionality while also taking into account a variety of factors, such as internal and external temperatures, flow and return temperatures, occupancy, etc.

HeatingSave works on most types of central heating systems that use natural gas, oil, solid fuel (such as anthracite), electricity or LPG. HeatingSave will also control renewable heating systems, such as air & ground source and wood burners.
