Use home room occupancy sensors to turn down the heating when nobody is in

The news of a suspected government U-turn on an energy efficiency scheme for homes has resulted in Channel 4’s Grand Designs presenter Kevin McCloud joining in widespread criticism. It is said PM David Cameron will block proposed mandatory rules on the Green Deal. Mr McCloud said: “Government plans to require homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their home when they build an extension are about as sensible as sensible gets, especially when the homeowner doesn’t have to pay for those improvements.”

HeatingSave can make your home central heating system 25 per cent more energy efficient. One of the ways you can do this is to connect our PIR room occupancy sensors to the HeatingSave controller and the heating will automatically turn itself down when nobody is at home but automatically turn up the heating when you arrive home and need it. Used in conjunction with the heating diary, occupancy sensors are great at saving money. HeatingSave spots when you are not home and automatically lowers room temperatures.
