British Chambers of Commerce helps members secure better energy deals

The British Chambers of Commerce has partnered with energy management firm Utilitywise as part of an initiative aimed at reducing overall energy costs for its members, a news report on the matter could reveal.

The scheme, called the ‘Chamber Energy Alliance’, will allow thousands of companies to band together and opt for a “basket” energy solution – i.e. buying together in bulk. Hence, every member, regardless of its size, will be able to benefit from the “price movements within the wholesale energy market”.

But that’s not all, since companies will also be able to enjoy knocked-down prices for water, as well as energy saving advice under a new ‘Chamber Energy Solutions’ brand in the pilot scheme.

Karina Knudsen, Business Development Director at the BCC said: “UK companies are under pressure to keep costs down and meet carbon emission targets.

“This partnership will give members of participating Chambers the option to receive energy consultation and services at a discount which has the potential to improve their competitiveness and their environmental credentials.”

Advanced BEMS (Building Energy Management System) solutions represent one of the top energy efficiency measures organizations of any scope and size can turn to, given the fact that they enable a superior level of control over the heating system and its extensive optimization, thus leading to lower overall consumption levels.

And this is exactly where the HeatingSave system might prove its worth, since our solution allows customers to achieve immediately savings of up to 30%+ on their energy bills. This is achieved by optimizing the energy consumption levels within any building with the help of an advanced heat-loss algorithm that creates a specific profile for any building and based on that, switches heating on later if its warm and off earlier if its cold.

It also automatically adjusts your boiler depending on how warm it is outside – save up to another 10%.

Furthermore, the system also offers an advanced automatic occupancy detection system that allows the temperature to reduce to a background when areas are not used and quickly brought up to temperature when they are being used.
