A new environmentally-friendly school hopes it will generate half its energy needs. The Caernarfon school will use wind turbines and solar panels, and also recycles rainwater. The Ysgol yr Hendre has room for up to 450 primary pupils, as well as having facilities for adult education, health, and social welfare initiatives. Pupils were involved with the design, and the building's green credentials have already won it an industry standard award.
