Funds for third release of the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund are now fully allocated

HS-EN-MONITOR-SCRN-1

The £70 million available through the third release of the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) has been fully allocated, the Department of Energy & Climate Change has recently revealed.

This has created a pipeline of energy efficiency work for the industry over the coming months, with households in England and Wales benefiting from improvements carried out under the scheme.

Home owners who’re yet to apply for a Green Deal package should know that they can still do so for a limited period of time, since an additional £5 million, remaining from release two of GDHIF, is being made available immediately so householders can continue to apply for funding to make energy saving home improvements.

Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Davey said: “The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund is extremely popular, and the third release has proved no exception. Thanks to this scheme some of the country’s leakiest homes will be warmer and cheaper to heat – permanently.

“We know the best way to help people use less energy and drive down their bills is to make their homes more energy efficient, and through ECO and Green Deal we’ve improved over one million homes across the country.”

HeatingSave – precise energy management system for your home or business, also available through Green Deal

HeatingSave is also approved to work and save fuel within the Energy Technology List, which is managed by the Carbon Trust on behalf of the Government. It is also approved by the Department of Energy & Climate Change and the Energy Savings Trust and was specified by the Building Research Establishment for the energy efficient homes retro-fit program, called The Greenhouse Project.

Last, but certainly not least, it’s important to mention that HeatingSave is a component part of the Government’s Green Deal program.
